Lucky Star Garland

Finally I have completed this project! A few months ago I was playing with origami folds and making different animals. I made fish and butterflies. Then this little tiny project "Lucky Star" came up in my search for more things to fold. Then I ended up making 200 stars and was stuck trying to figure out what to do them.

Sweet Memories

"At the temple there is a poem called "Loss" carved into the stone. It has three words, but the poet has scratched them out. You cannot feel loss, only feel it."- Arthur Goldman, Memoirs of a Geisha

March 22, 2012, my grandpa passed away. That day I lost someone who I loved very much. I  had only spoken to him the day before it happened, He told me he loved me and to take care like always. It was a sad day. The quote about loss is something I think that only you feel, there are no real words to put in place of loss.

DIY: Personalized Bracelet with Needle Tatting.

DIY: Personalized Bracelet with Needle Tatting. I came up with this simple project while a brainstorming ideas for Jewelry Challenge on Instructables. I wanted to make something simple and easy to follow. Also I am still very nearly addicted to stamps and polymer clay.

I bought more stamps yesterday with my sister. Steadily, I am cultivating a collection of them. I hope to get a large texture block for a mask. Back to the project at hand, this project can be done in the span of hour or less its pretty straight forward. Also inexpensive.

DiY: Stamped Valentine Necklace and Giveaway

All right finally I have completed the Valentine's Day project, I've been so busy that I feel like I've been procrastinating on projects. This necklace was fun, because it combines the sequin bead technique and using ink on clay. I learned quite a bit for this project. I love how this necklace came out and how well the stamp technique worked. Which was actually painless compared to how I assumed it wold go. For information about ink and polymer clay, check out this article .

I've started a small stamp collection since I completed this necklace. I want to pick up embossing next. I have several new plans and projects in the works for the upcoming weeks as well. This month has been super busy, but I have enjoyed every minute of it.

New Obsession: Glitter Paint

Cotton Candy Pink Glitter Paint
Oh glitter, where have you been all this time, hiding from my collection of craft supplies. I recently have been collecting colors of Martha Stewart's multi surface glitter paint for various projects. I really like how well it works.

I've only used it on wooden beads so far, but I want to try it on glass, polymer clay and maybe even something tatted. It says if you allow to let it cure for 21 days it becomes dishwasher safe. I forsee glittery mustache necklace and matching mustache coffee cup.
