The Mask of The Harvest Goddess

Raccolto Dea Maschera

As the seasons change and we slowly blow into Autumn, I thought I would make a Mask that possibly a pixie, goddess or faerie would wear as they begin to paint the leaves gold. Autumn is one of my favorites seasons, the warmth, the cool air, and family. Its beautiful, in so many ways. This mask was so much fun to make, I tried to make something different from my other pieces. I really wanted it to reflect on season and the Harvest.

Maple Leaf Hair Clip

So I recently fallen back in love with ornate hair combs and clips. I've poured over dozens of them from Japan to Europe. However not all of these hair combs are everyday wear. It thought I'd make something simple and sweet. I used fimo clay and carefully cut a maple leaf out of from it. The next steps where easy, bake and then paint! Its nice quick and easy craft too, and inexpensive! Also it reminds me of Fall, as the seasons is rolling closer and summer is coming to an end. This project took no more than hour or two.

Rosa Uccello Amore Maschera Fiore

My newest creation is finally complete! This mask is almost covered in all things pink. It was inspired by feeling of spring and new love. It took me a about week to complete, even though its only half the size of normal mask. I like to visualize and then visualize till it mostly comes together in my head. I used a new shape for the base and I think it came out rather well. I was also able to put a gallery on the site recently with all pictures of my current masks. I suppose all my pieces like this end with me burning my fingertips a couple 100 times with my hot glue gun, I'm still not used to the new one I purchased. Its not art if not suffering a tiny bit for it I suppose!
